KFM uses the following OS projects:

• various PEAR packages
• MooTools JavaScript famework
• Torchlight iconset 0.2.0
• CodePress syntax highlighting editor
• SWFUpload flash-based multiple-file-upload

In the past, the following have also been used:

• PHP Textfile DB API - replaced by various database engines
• Sajax - a custom framework, KaeJAX, is now used
